Melissa Ward

Melissa Ward is a bright, energetic young woman who is excited to serve the Lord in this ministry! Melissa joined the office as the administrative coordinator in September 2004. When contacting the office, you will notice right away that she strives to do her best and to help any way she can in a professional, courteous manner.

Melissa was born in Santa Ana, California and was raised in Fort Scott, Kansas. After high school, Melissa attended Evangel University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronic Media and a minor in Journalism. Melissa met her husband, Matt, while still in high school in Kansas. They married in 2002 and stayed in Springfield after graduating from college.

Melissa is a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time at home with her two miniature pinschers, Ruby and Katie. Her other interests include reading, writing, travel, and oil painting.

Young Adult Ministries of the Assemblies of God promotes the need for and development of ministries to young adults on a local, district, regional and national level by networking, resourcing, and training existing and potential leaders working with young adults and their families of all types and ages.
