Jason Bowman
Jason Bowman is a passionate leader who desires to see the message of Christ communicated with relevance to every generation. His belief that we must adopt a missionary’s heart for our culture spills over in every message. His dedication to the essential teachings of Christ, His love, His truth, and His spirit is inspiring and motivating.
Jason was born in a small town outside of Olympia, WA. At the age of 19 his drug addiction had cost him basketball scholarships and many broken relationships. Through a series of dramatic events, Jason became a follower of Jesus Christ and God called him into full-time ministry (for more of Jason’s conversion story visit www.nothingstoohardforGod.org). Jason is a graduate of Central Bible College, and earned his M.A. in Theological studies at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. While working on his Master’s degree Jason met his adorable wife Ashley. They enjoy college/young adult ministry together with their son, Clay, who was born on June 21, 2006.
Jason became the Pastor of Young Adults at Evangel Temple Christian Center in Springfield, MO in the fall of 2004. Under his direction, the ministry has multiplied from one Sunday school class to 3 Sunday school classes, 2 Sunday morning worship services, a Wednesday night worship service, a leadership training course, and a variety of small groups.
Jason was brought on part-time as the National Young Adult Ministry Coordinator in August 2007 in an effort to help support the Single Adult/Young Adult Ministries office in its goal to equip and encourage existing and potential young adult ministries throughout our fellowship.
Vision Statement
Young Adult Ministries of the Assemblies of God promotes the need for and development of ministries to young adults on a local, district, regional and national level by networking, resourcing, and training existing and potential leaders working with young adults and their families of all types and ages.
