Young Adult Ministries - The Network

The Network

Network a national young adult ministry newsletter.                                                 v.7 June 2008

Young Adult Ministry continues to stir a passion in our generation. Individuals and churches are realizing that relevant effective ministry to the young adult is essential to the ongoing health of the Church around the world. I have been so encouraged the past several months as I have had the privilege to interact with many of you and hear what you are doing to reach this growing need for ministry in our time. I would like to solicit your help in networking ministries and sharing ideas with one another. You can see a list of current young adult ministries on our website under groups. If you are on facebook, you can also participate in the Assemblies of God Young Adult Leaders Network group.  Or, maybe you know of a local ministry that has changed leadership or another that has began in your area and is not in the national database. We look forward to hearing from you.

Resource:
It is often said that "people" are the greatest resource for any ministry. I want to introduce you to a resource of people that have proven young adult ministries and a heart to help others advance young adult ministry, our national leadership team. These individuals have availed themselves as an open resource to you and your ministry. You can see the profiles and contact info for each of our National Team members in the Leaders section of youngadults.ag.org

I have had a long time passion for Church Planting. I have often pondered the connection between Church Planting and Young Adult Ministry as many Church Plants target the younger unchurched demographic of their city. Well, after 4 years of fruitful young adult ministry at Evangel Temple in Springfield, MO my wife and I set out in a pioneer fashion. We have been given the opportunity to revitalize a church in Saint Louis, MO. After assessing that there was indeed enough "nothing" for us to satisfy our pioneer calling we agreed to help revitalize the small and young congregation of New Life Community Church. You can read more of the mission details at www.thenewlifeproject.com

I will continue to serve as the National Young Adult Ministry Coordinator from Saint Louis. Pray with us, not just for our pioneer work, but also that the National Young Adult Ministry would continue to grow as a resource to our movement and to our planet.

Thanks,
