Vision Statement

Young Adult Ministries of the Assemblies of God promotes the need for and development of ministries to young adults on a local, district, regional and national level by networking, resourcing, and training existing and potential leaders working with young adults and their families of all types and ages.


National Team

 

Each of these people are eager to serve you and your ministry as a resource for national young adult ministry. They are experienced leaders who can help you develop your ministry to young adults:

  • Consultation: Use phone, fax or e-mail to get their valuable insights on issues you face.

  • Encouragement: These leaders have been through much of what you are experiencing and they desire to help you.

  • Training: Each person has personal experience in building leadership.

  • Resources: They can help you locate the best materials out there.

  • Networking: They can put you in touch with other leaders who are doing what you are.

  • Speaking: The topics they can address in workshops and seminars are listed with their bios below.

Jon graduated with a BA in pastoral studies from North Central University in 2003, and joined the staff at Oak Creek in the fall of 2004. He loves working and spending time with the college and young adult community at Oak Creek. Jon enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the gym, playing instruments and trying new restaurants.

Lindsay is most passionate about teaching the Word of God and inspiring people to live a life of whole-hearted devotion to Christ. Lindsay currently ministers to young adults while working at Starbucks in Seattle, WA. Topics Lindsay enjoys teaching on include:

Randy shares life with Heidi and his daughters, Morganne and Bethany. He leads thehouse—a young adult ministry in North Little Rock, Arkansas at First Assembly of God. Randy gives all available spare time to his doctoral work on young adult spirituality at George Fox University with Dr. Len Sweet. He has a passion for students, reading, caffeine and missions. Scott is the teaching pastor and leader of the Single Adult and Young Adult Ministries at Glad Tidings. He and his wife Kate founded the Young Adult Ministry 6 years ago, and Scott has been leading the Singles Ministry at Glad Tidings for over a year now. Scott has been involved with ministry at Glad Tidings for over seven years, and was recently hired as full-time Associate Pastor in January 2005. Scott loves to teach the Word of God, and has a passion for reaching this emerging generation. His hobbies include eating, drinking coffee, family, church-league softball, competing in anything imaginable, and of course spending time with Kate and their two boys. His teaching passions include:

Ryan's passion as the National Young Adult Ministries Coordinator is to encourage and equip existing and potential young adult ministries throughout our fellowship. Ryan is a Central Bible College graduate and has ministered to young adults in both Florida and Oregon. He enjoys teaching on the following topics:

Elizabeth has been involved in Single Adult Ministries since 1998 as a local church leader and at the district level since 2004. As a district leader, Elizabeth has been empowering Pastors and Leaders to start single adult ministries in churches that do not yet have one, and strengthening those that do. She is a single adult and enjoys teaching on the following topics:

Reza became the Young Adult Pastor at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2003 and now oversees Student and Young Adult Ministries. Born in Iran and a former Muslim, Reza’s passion in life is to see believers come together and share their walk with the Lord with people who have never heard the Gospel or have walked away from the church. Some subjects Reza enjoys teaching on include:
